Strategy, engagement & creative direction for mission-driven organizations.
I partner with executive leadership to build awareness, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and leverage strategic communications and media partnerships that advance institutional goals, inspire support, and deliver measurable results.
Emmy Award-winning communications strategist and creative director
I believe communications should do more than inform. They should build trust, strengthen relationships, and inspire people to engage with something that matters.
For more than three decades, I've partnered with broadcasters, nonprofit organizations, museums, educational institutions, and public agencies to help them build awareness, strengthen public engagement, and advance their missions. Whether developing a brand, designing an exhibit, leading a communications strategy, or building media partnerships, my goal is always the same: helping organizations connect with the people they serve.
I enjoy working alongside executive leadership, creative teams, and community partners, moving comfortably between strategy and execution. Some days that means helping shape long-term organizational direction. Other days it means sitting down at my computer to design a logo, build a website, create an exhibit, or solve a creative problem. I genuinely enjoy both.
History has become an increasingly important part of my work. I believe the stories we preserve shape how we understand ourselves, our communities, and the generations that follow. That passion has led me to work with museums, veterans organizations, public media, and educational institutions committed to preserving and sharing Minnesota's stories.
The best projects are collaborative. They are built on trust, curiosity, shared purpose, and a commitment to creating meaningful, measurable impact.
Jon is a rare talent who is not only incredibly creative, he is also incredibly easy to work with. He has fantastic instincts and ideas. His work on the Broadcast Wars television documentary that I produced, brought it to the next level! I couldn’t have been happier with the results.
